the past several days i have had the flu, so i have been in bed and not been able to get much work done,edit pictures or do much of anything. I don’t currently have insurance aside from some coverage at the VA but given that they overmedicated me several years ago and other is know have not had the best of luck i really prefer not to go to them.  I did go the other night to the VA  Emergency room after having a temperature of 103.8  I took a cold bath that brought my temp down along with some tylenol but when i temp started going back up, I decided to do something about it. Low and behold I get to the VA and they tell me “they can’t test me for swine flu unless I am a pregnant woman or an admitted patient because the CDC does not want people freaking out because everyone is going to get the swine flu eventually” anyways, so i was given some antibiotics and a pat on the back.

I have occasionally been able to get up for a few minutes at a time from being stuck in bed the past few days and check emails and such. Still feverish, feeling awful and in a lot of pain, but I am sure that there are people that have is worse off.

I just know after what i have been through the past week, I have lost a lot of faith in our healthcare system.  Tomorrow I have another doctors appointment in the morning, so we will see what becomes of that.
